One of Ontario's oldest cities
Brockville sits on the St. Lawrence River opposite Morristown, New York — one of Ontario's oldest communities, founded around 1790 by Loyalist settlers and named for Sir Isaac Brock. With about 22,000 people it has the structure of a city and the feel of a small town, and streets lined with heritage architecture from every era.
Known as the City of the Thousand Islands, it's a classic summer river town and a launch point for cruises through the islands and the Seaway.

Nearly all of Brockville's waterfront is public — a chain of riverfront parks and access points linked by a trail system — and the river below holds roughly 200 shipwrecks, making it some of the world's best freshwater diving.
