Lake Erie's crystal sands
Crystal Beach is a lakefront community in Fort Erie on the northeast shore of Lake Erie, named for the clear water found when it was founded. Its Bay Beach is famous for white sand and warm, shallow water — ranked among North America's Top 50 beaches.
For a century it was a resort town built around the Crystal Beach amusement park (1888–1989); today it's a lively beach community of around 8,500 with shops, restaurants and a revived waterfront.

Lake Erie is the shallowest and warmest of the Great Lakes, so Crystal Beach offers some of the warmest swimming in Ontario — a short drive west of Fort Erie and the Peace Bridge to Buffalo.
Waterfront ranges from cottages and classic beach homes to newer development near Bay Beach, with demand from both Ontario buyers and cross-border interest.
